Rahu in Lal Kitab: nature and remedies
Rahu is the planet of sudden turns, the unknown, foreign things, ambition and illusion.
Rahu in Lal Kitab is smoke: it magnifies, confuses and surprises. It is the planet of sudden gains and sudden losses, of foreign things and of the in-laws. Its own house is the 12th. Lal Kitab treats Rahu as a shadow that takes its results from Saturn and Mercury, so its remedies often borrow from both.
Rahu remedies are about clearing smoke: floating coal or barley in flowing water, keeping good relations with the in-laws, avoiding things that cloud the mind, and not keeping broken or unused electrical things in the house. The book says honesty in dealings keeps Rahu in check better than anything else.
